Question 1: Is this really free? What’s the catch?

Yes, it’s 100% free, if you qualify. This course is fully funded by the UK Government through the Skills Bootcamp initiative. There are zero fees, hidden costs, or upsells. Just your time, and your commitment to showing up.

Question 2: What qualifications do I need to be eligible?

ou must already hold: ✔️ Level 3 Electrotechnical Vocational Qualification (e.g. NVQ, Apprenticeship) ✔️ 18th Edition (BS7671) ✔️ Inspection & Testing (2391 50/51/52) If you’ve got those you’re good to go.

Question 3: How long is the course and when does it start?

The course runs for 4 weeks, delivered 2 days per week. Spots are limited. Our next intake starts soon — and there are only 8 funded places left.

Question 4: Is the training online or in-person?

This is hands-on, face-to-face training right here in Leeds. You’ll work with real instructors, real equipment, and leave with real skills you can start using the next day.

Question 5: How soon can I start offering these services?

As soon as you complete the course, you’re certified. You can start quoting and delivering Solar PV and EV Charging jobs immediately.

Question 6: What kind of work will this let me do?

You’ll be qualified to: 🔌 Install & maintain Solar PV systems (residential & commercial) 🚗 Install EV Charging stations (home, workplace, commercial) ⚡ Follow proper isolation and safety protocols for green energy installs These aren’t theory-based "certs" they’re practical qualifications recognised across the UK.

Question 7: How long will this funding be available?
